There are two ways to make good money, either scare people or give them the illusion of pleasure. For years, the Catholic Churches exploited this strategy by preaching to their communities that they will go to hell, unless they pay for their sins to enter heaven. Unfortunately, they were not alone. Other groups also used the fear and paradise paradigm to try to achieve their own political or social goals.
Governments and activist movements have been warning for years that languages, cultures, the planet, races and even humanity would become extinct if we did not give them our money and / or votes. Then there are the extreme cases of the communist - and fascist movements. Karl Marx for example sold a workers' paradise that served as good propaganda when Lenin and later Stalin came to power and Adolf Hitler proclaimed a final solution for the German Reich, but in the process, about 15 million soldiers lost their lives on the battlefields, and nearly six million Jews died in the concentration camps.
When it came to implementing the visions of heaven on earth, it looked more like hell on earth.
Then take modern South Africa with Julius Malema and the ANC. Their election campaigns essentially come down to instilling fear in the population as they sell an alternative unobtainable paradise. Apartheid would return if the ANC is not re-elected. Black South Africans are promised an increase to their quality of life, if the mines nationalized. More black economic empowerment laws are sold on the promise that it will achieve equality and of course, historical inequity can only be rectified if the government expropriates the farmers' land without paying them compensation. This vision is nothing more than an unattainable Transformation Paradise, with doomsayers that are not prepared to question their dogmatic presuppositions.
Then at the university campuses, a new ideology has recently caught fire under the "woke" movement that only sees the world through only one lens - "systemic discrimination". And in international politics there is also a paradise phenomenon in the Green Movement with their fanatical belief that mankind is sinful for every natural disaster or exceptional weather pattern. These are the men and women that shamelessly use a Swedish childgod to further their own ideological beliefs. The Neo-Malthusian ideology that lies behind the Green Movement forms the basis of the United Nations and the Club of Rome's Sustainable Development vision.
Every often these ideologies are combined into programs like the Great Reset and the American Democratic Party's election manifesto. To remain “sustainable” and “nonracist”, companies are required to pursue an ESG target, and their employees are compelled to take classes that makes them aware of their own "racist biases". The dogma suggests that every monetary transaction, every power relation and every human interaction should only be seen through only two lenses, climate change and discrimination. All of this, while the sceptics and critiques are being dismissed as climate deniers and racists, despite their arguments being based on rational thinking, facts, and existing scientific literature.
A modern persecution that looks like the equivalent to the secular inquisition.
The proponents of the cults like environmentalism and wokism make two claims that are absurd. Firstly, they claim that they have the knowledge to take the world economy to a greener Garden of Eden, because the free-market system is not capable of doing it. And secondly, they preach that the biggest challenge to the average joe, who must bear the cost of their utopia, is that he must become aware that he is actually a racist – a charge that the proponents of wokism never bring to themselves. In the particular case of South Africa and Zimbabwe, the white population must constantly repay for the sins of Apartheid, Colonialism and all the events since Jan van Riebeek or Cecil John Rhodes while the majority population is reminded that they are perpetual victims of their own circumstances.
The hell of racist inequality and global warming of yesterday is used to sell the future paradise equality and a sustainable milk and honey. A marketing tactic that is as old as humankind. It is good time that we stand up to these visions and expose their proponents for what they are, hustlers and modern doomsday prophets that do not deserve our time nor attention.
