Namibia is poised to become the 10th largest oil state soon. If the South African government strategically maneuvers, we can capitalize on their burgeoning industry along with the discoveries in Mozambique to develop our own. South Africa holds the potential to establish four LNG markets: Secunda-Gauteng, Mosselbay, Saldanahbay, and Richardsbay.
We have the skeleton of an excellent LNG infrastructure and we should leverage it to our own advantage.
In the absence of an alternative to fossil fuels, it will only be a question of them when the scramble for African Oil and Gas will take place.
In fact it has already began.
