If governments currently fail at passing sensible economic policy in a largely market driven economy, just think about the critical failure that would occur under a centralised command economy.

It would be a repeat of Mao-ist and Stalin-ist economic failure rolled into one, to the power of the number of economic units/economies involved.

I will make a public bet that the green elite will be dislodged from power long before the world gets to net zero. Not even Stalin and Mao, with a black cheque to disregard public opinion or human lives, will be able to pull this one off.

There will be unimaginable chaos and destruction until this occurs

That has been the goal all along, fascism and ultimate malthusian control (population, energy etc) via other means...

How can a commanded economy be exercised? By a government owning everything and contolling the distribution.

How can a government exercise the distribution?

By knowing every single participant in the system and being able to regulate the giving.

How can a government know every participant in the system?

By making an inventory of every thing and being.

How can an inventory of the world population and everything else be done?

By coercing everyone into a global procedure which leads to a digital identity. For example a mandatory vaccination.

"Nobody will be *safe* (from us) until everybody is vaccinated".
